Dear Friends,
I bring you greetings on behalf of the Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association. We are working in partnership with Tourism Saskatchewan to strengthen and enhance the bed and breakfast and country vacation sector of the tourism industry.
Our association includes members who provide Bed and Breakfasts, Guest Houses, Guest Ranches and Agritourim experiences throughout Saskatchewan. The operation may be located in the cities, towns, resort areas and in the country side. Each site is unique and makes a special contribution to the variety of experiences offered to our guests.
There was never a better time to become a part of this particular entrepreneurship movement in Saskatchewan. Visitors are discovering that Saskatchewan folks operate country vacations because they enjoy meeting people and inviting them into their homes. The guests receive intangible benefits of personalized service that one cannot buy resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. Many visitors have a sincere desire to get to know the part of the country they are visiting and to meet the people who live there. Sometimes they just want to escape and be pampered. As Bed and Breakfast and Country Vacation hosts, we are gaining a reputation in Saskatchewan that results in our guests returning again and again.
The benefits of membership in the Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association include a strong voice of advocacy for members, advertising in the Saskatchewan Accommodation Guide and other media, attendance at the annual SBBA Conference, access to loans up to $10,000 at an interest rate of 5 %, a web page joined to the SBBA on the Internet, and an opportunity for attendance at business development courses, networking with other members, quarterly newsletters, a listing in the Membership Directory with a distribution of 10,000 and much more!
Consultation and support is offered through the SBBA office to all members.
Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast hosts have an excellent reputation in the Tourism industry. The Black Rooster Guarantee LOGO means that all members have passed health and fire inspections and have met the SBBA accreditation standards.
All accreditation visits are completed from March through to August so it is important to complete the application form and return it to SBBA office as early in the year as possible. The visitation date for accreditation is arranged with you at your convenience. The check list that is used at the time of the visitation is titled Accreditation Visit Checklist.
You are invited to browse through the Membership Information Guide . It has been designed to provide an over view of the Saskatchewan Bed and Breakfast Association and the basic requirements for operating a B & B and/or country vacation in Saskatchewan.
Please feel free to contact the SBBA office by phone, fax or e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely
Bryan Tudor
