We were living in Victoria BC and had been looking for 5 years to find a lovely home in a great Canadian community. We'd had no luck working with realtors. However, we'd used your site many times to find accommodations across the country and, as we'd run a B&B years ago we knew that most B&B owners were meticulous about their home. Congratulations BBCanada for partnering with the Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII). I’ve been a member of PAII even before I opened my B&B - as an aspiring innkeeper. For me, it was the best investment I could make and has paid for itself a thousand times over. There simply is no other body of knowledge and resources available in the B&B and innkeeping field that beats what PAII offers. PAII’s annual conference is second to none. I’ve now been to four of them and I can’t say enough about the learning, networking and inspiration that I gained from each event, not to mention the great business revenues that I receive now.
Although PAII is based in the States, I’ve found that the staff, Board and membership are very eager to attract more Canadian and international members. I’m so glad to see BBCanada lead a more concerted effort to this end. We’ve all got a lot to share in the hospitality industry whether we operate a 1-bedroom B&B in our home or a large urban inn. Many of the trials and tribulations are the same and it’s invaluable to have a large international trade organization such as PAII working on our and our provincial association’s behalf to make it all possible.
So congratulations again. BBCanada has always done a great job for the B&B industry in Canada and I know you’ll just get better and better by partnering with PAII. I look forward to seeing more Canadian PAII members in the near future. I guarantee they won’t be sorry.
