Welcome to the South Okanagan Bed and Breakfast Association; we represent Bed and Breakfast establishments in the southern interior of British Columbia from Osoyoos to Summerland. The South Okanagan is a vacation spot that offers a cornucopia of delightful experiences, beautiful weather, and unmatched attractions. Stay a while and see it all. In the summer swim in the lakes and enjoy the many sandy beaches, golf on some of our world-class courses or enjoy the casual executive and miniature courses. In the winter ski or board the world's best powder on nearby Apex Mountain Resort and Mount Baldy or enjoy their cross-country and snowshoe trails. Many other attractions are available throughout the year including malls and funky local shops, areas to bike and hike such as the scenic Kettle Valley Railroad, the magnificent Skaha rock climbing bluffs, para-sailing, wind surfing, or any number of diverse water sports on any of our many lakes. Okanagan Valley vineyards are recognized by wine connoisseurs around the world for the quality of their product. You can follow the vineyards and wineries north from Osoyoos to Oliver, continue through OK Falls, past Kaleden and on to Penticton: then visit Naramata and Summerland: be sure to make time for a pleasant stop to enjoy a tour and savor the superb views. Along the way you will find no shortage of dining establishments (from fine to fast) most featuring fresh local fruits and vegetables (in season) - as well as many fine B & B's.
Our association is working hard to promote the South Okanagan and our wonderful Bed and Breakfast accommodations. Please let me know if you have had any problems or have any concerns about your stay at one of our B&Bs: of course I would also like to know if you enjoyed your stay. You may contact me at the address below and all correspondence will be kept strictly confidential. John Archer, President SOBBA |
